Personal Background
SATO Noboru obtained his B.A. (1997), M.A. (1999) and Ph.D. (2006) in Literature from Tokyo University. He was a research fellow at King’s College London from 2007 to 2008. From 2009 to 2012, he worked at Tokyo University as Assistant Professor and came to Kobe University in 2012.
Fields of Specialization
His main areas of interest are the Classical Athenian social and political history, law and rhetoric in Democratic Athens, international communication in Classical and Hellenistic Greece, and historiography in archaic, classical and Hellenistic Greece.
