About the Kobe-Oxford Japanese Studies Programme (KOJSP)
Kobe University signed an academic exchange agreement with Oxford University in 2011. At the same time, an agreement on the “Kobe-Oxford Japanese Studies Programme” was signed between the Faculty of Letters, Kobe University and the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Oxford University.
In this programme, all the second year students studying for a degree in Oriental Studies (Japanese) at Oxford University study at the Faculty of Letters, Kobe University, for one year. After finishing their year in Kobe, they return to the UK and proceed to complete the third and fourth years of their degree at Oxford University.
Alongside consolidating this programme, the Faculty of Letters, Kobe University, is also deepening its working relationship with Oxford University, at the level of academic research, through projects that are currently under way.
